When will my order be delivered?


We process orders as quickly as possible, usually same day or next day. Delivery time depends mainly on the method of delivery you chose. (For UPS Ground deliveries please allow 7 - 10 days.)




What is my tracking number?


We provide a UPS tracking number once it has been generated by the shipping warehouse. If you require a copy of your tracking number, please send an email to orders @ contractorcity.com. Be sure to include your name and order number.



What if I made a mistake in my shipping address?


Please contact us immediately and provide your correct address. Mistakes can lead to UPS returning your order to the warehouse.


I am a school or other institution and need an invoice.


Please write to us at orders @ contractorcity.com. Be sure to include your name, the school's name, shipping address, billing address and phone number. Tell us the titles you want and how many of each as well as your preferred method of shipping. We will email or fax an invoice to you as you request. As a small company we are not set up to accept purchase order accounts. Your school's accounting department can send payment along with a copy of the invoice we provide to 343 Soquel Ave #303, Santa Cruz CA 95062. We will then promptly process your order.



I need to cancel my order.


If we can prevent your order from being shipped, your purchase and s&h price will be refunded. If your order has already been passed on to the warehouse we can not stop delivery. If this is the case, you should refuse delivery from UPS, and notify us that you have done so. Your order will then be returned to the warehouse and your purchase price will be refunded once receipt has been confirmed.


I am looking for a certain book but can't find it in your store.


Please write to us at service @ contractorcity.com with the name of the book you are looking for. If we can get it for you we'll tell you the price and availability for that title. We will then process the order for you.


Why do you ask customers to email instead of call with questions?


We are a small online company, and as we've grown, it has been necessary to stick with the fastest and most effective means of communication with our customers so that we can continue to provide you with the quality service we believe our customers deserve. We have found email to be the best method for providing this prompt and effective level of customer service.



I found something on your site confusing or unclear.


We are always looking for ways to make our website more user-friendly. If you have an idea you'd like to pass on, we'd love to hear it! Use our easy Contact page form to send in your suggestion or comment.


I bought a download, but still haven't received it!


All downloads become available to you automatically from your order confirmation page immediately after you place the order. If for any reason you closed your confirmation page without clicking the red "Download" button, please contact us with your name and order number and we will send you instructions on how to get your copy.


How do I open my download?


All downloads available from Contractor City come in a industry standard .zip compressed form. You will need a decompression utility such as WinZip or Stuffit to decompress the file. To open your file, go to your Start menu and choose 'Run'. Browse to where you saved the file, highlight it, and click 'Ok'. Your unzip utility should automatically open, load the file, unzip it, and ask you where you want to save it. Most home computers come with an unzip utility built in, but if you need one, you can download a free trial version at http://www.winzip.com.


I lost my membership password.


Click on "Lost Password" in the Login module on the right. Your password will be emailed to you.
