Help me choose a compound miter saw! 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago

I want to buy a compound miter saw...I'd like to stay under $300.

This will be to install basic crown molding and eventually just household projects/repairs, etc...

I'm looking at the DW713 (I can get it for about $180)

What do you suggest?

10" or 12"

slider or non-slider

single bevel or dual bevel

DeWalt, Makita, Rigid, Craftsman, Hitachi, etc??
